Dragon Fruit

The pink one is from Thailand and the white one is from Vietnam. Which tasted better? Definitely Thailand. If you’ve never tasted this fruit, I’ll tell you now, it doesn’t really have any flavor besides a watery one. It’s not like a watermelon, it’s kinda like how a cucumber watery would taste except with a little more sweetness. There’s a lot of seeds, but you can swallow those, well I did. I hope I don’t grow a plant in me like in Rugrats when Chuckie swallowed a watermelon tree and a tree grew out of him. Anyways, that’s not the point.

Apparently, they have this in stores now in the bay area. Too bad it’s 3.29/ lb. HAHA. My dad’s friend told him and when he saw the price, he said “forget about it” haha. I’m fortunate to eat it. Dad is going to plant more of these and sell it here haha.

Information

It looks like a dragon huh? Dragons mean all sorts of things and this fruit definitely lives it up. It’s very nutrition and packed with vitamin C and low “heat” (if you’re asian, you know what that means) It absorbs CO2 at night and releases O2 in the morning. (wow, i wonder if all fruits does that) Well that’s interesting! It’s environment friendly. It is said to have been first originated from South America and then brought over to Vietnam from the french. It’s a cactus fruit and is said that only wealthy/royal famililes would be able to eat this. That shows how special this dragon is. :]
