Young green soybeans. Another cool thing about soy is that it contains isoflavones and phytoestrogens. This is great for those who are going through menopause. As a phytoestrogen, it binds to estrogen receptors to supplement estrogens. As you know, estrogen level decreases once menopause hits.
Oh, did I also mention that it increases HDL (good cholesterol) and decreases LDL (bad cholesterol)?
